Schoo Middle School, named after former Lincoln Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Philip H. Schoo, opened August 2009. The grade 6-8 middle school is located in the Fallbrook neighborhood. We proudly serve over 900 students who live in northwest Lincoln. Schoo Middle School and the Fallbrook YMCA share our beautiful building and collaborate in meeting the needs of our students, their families, and the community. Approximately 80 students participate in the after school program offered in our shared classrooms and gyms.
Welcome to the Schoo Middle School website! As a teacher, I helped to open Schoo back in 2009, and now it is my great privilege to serve the Schoo community as principal. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with a talented, caring staff who are committed to the academic achievement and personal development of our students. Our school mission – Educate, Enrich, Serve and Support – guides our staff in the pursuit of excellence every day.
At Schoo, our priority is student learning. To ensure student success at school, our staff works together in collaborative teams to challenge students to reach or exceed all district learning goals. We honor the diversity and unique strengths and talents of each of our students, and we work hard to plan for their success. Our teachers and counselors know students well and work to promote and provide a safe, orderly, and respectful environment that promotes high levels of student engagement and trust.
We encourage our students to work hard in their classrooms, and we also promote involvement with music, intramural sports, clubs, and activities at school, as we know learning occurs in all of these settings.
We believe that partnering with parents is essential, knowing that when school and parents work together, student achievement increases. We invite you to utilize this site to obtain information regarding school activities, and we welcome you to stay involved in your child’s school experiences throughout middle school.
We look forward to working with you during your student’s time with us!
