Due to increased inquiries regarding after-school bus usage, please read and follow LPS guidelines for riding the bus.
If a student is a bus rider but needs to ride a different bus for the day, the school can issue an emergency Boarding Pass that will be filled out and given to the bus driver. This protocol would also pertain to a student who is not normally a bus rider but needs to ride the bus to or from school. The student’s parent/guardian must call ahead or send a note with the student explaining the circumstances (ex., parents out of town, student staying with friend, etc.).
The Boarding Pass is to be used with limitations, and authorization is at the discretion of the Associate Principal. Students will not be allowed to enter the office at 3 p.m. asking for a bus pass, without prior notification from a parent, because they wish to ride the bus home with a friend.
